Build philosophy: rugged on the outside with a soul-inspiring interior and a ton of features that are still easy to use

WLDR Campers are all different, but they share many important features at the core. Most importantly, we create functional yet comfortable spaces for you to venture out and #liveyourwildest. Please see specific camper listings for a full description and a list of assets.

Exterior upgrades are important to help you travel further down the road less traveled. From lift kits and oversized wheels and tires to offroad body modifications to ladders and roof decks, WLDR Campers get a full makeover for improved functionality which results in an awesome look, too.

Interior design matters. Our aesthetic is best described as modern-minimalist and brings together calming white, gray, black, and aluminum with an occasional pop of color. We also use as much natural wood as possible because it is better for you and makes the soul happy. We put a lot of thought into each camper and draw upon many years of experience to make it both functional and beautiful.

WLDR Campers pack in all the living and comfort features you need for awesome immersive experiences. That typically means comfortable lounging and sleeping areas, fully functional kitchens, outdoor showers, indoor/outdoor lighting, electrical outlets, and as much storage as we can carve out. After all, there’s nothing better than settling in to your special space after a long day of adventuring. Our goal is for you to feel at home wherever your journey takes you.

What we have learned over the years is that the way people actually use their campers is not always how they thought they would. So, we try to set-up every WLDR Camper to be used in a variety of ways: at campgrounds, with full or partial hookups, while boondocking, and during overlanding. You can expect extensive but easy to use power and plumbing systems that allow both off-grid and shore utilities.

Frequently Asked Questions

All WLDR Campers™ are new builds on premium pre-owned vehicles. In other words, the vehicle canvas is pre-owned but everything we add to the vehicle to make it into an awesome camper is NEW using industry leading products and services. We don’t skimp on anything, ever.

After many years, we have learned that having a new camper (not the vehicle itself) is what’s most important for buyers. The biggest drawback from buying a used Class B campervan or motorhome is that all the components have been used, too. The other problem is the incredibly high price tag.

Not only does our process allow us to drive down final costs for you, but we can help you avoid the icky surprises of used camper components or the dramatic depreciation that happens when you purchase a new camper. Most people who purchase this type of adventure vehicle intend to use it a lot and keep it for a long time. That means you will rack up the miles pretty quickly anyway and earn yourself a ding or two along the way. Built to last for hundreds of thousands of miles with only routine maintenance, there is a reason to start with a brand new vehicle anyway.

Our mission is to create space for people to deepen their connections with self, tribe, and earth. To us, that means empowering people with a comfortable and affordable option for exploring nature. We build new hand-crafted and fully functional campers with industry-leading components at ¼-½ the price.

WLDR Campers typically sell between $40-60,000 depending on the build, but they can sell as high as $80,000.

Whatever your budget, we would love to discuss your vision. Because we custom build each camper, we can usually find ways to make your dream a reality.

Sort of, but not really. We know this isn’t the answer that you want, but please understand our reasoning. The entire build process begins when we source the best preowned ‘Canvas’ vehicles on the market and no two vehicles are exactly the same. The vehicle itself determines what camper styles we can build. Moreover, we hand-craft our campers from vans, buses, trucks, and SUVs. That means lots of different custom build-outs.

The perfect camper may be coming soon, so check out our current projects or give us a call to see what we might have in the works. You can also join the waitlist if you are looking for a specific build type and we will let you know as soon as the Canvas vehicle manifests.

A camper is a big purchase! We get it.

Even our super affordable campers have a big price tag for many financial situations. And we are sensitive to that.

While we do no offer financing at this time, we are actively looking for the right partner to help get people the loan they need. For now, please contact your bank about an auto loan or look for third-party sources if you need a little boost.

There are three levels of warranties when it comes to Adventure Habitats™. First, we DO warranty the build itself. Anything that relates to the craftsmanship and materials used in the production process of your vehicle is warrantied by us and/or our partners who work on them. Also covered are the manufacturer warranties for all the individual components used to build your Adventure Habitats. This would cover things like an inverter failing for no fault of your own and must be dealt with the manufacturer directly (make sure to register everything in the packet we provide for you).

Lastly, some people may want to warranty the vehicle itself. By law, pre-owned vehicles are sold ‘as is’ and do not come with a warranty. We go to great lengths to try to prevent any issues, including testing and evaluation of vehicles, but we can’t control for something that happens organically as you roll down the open road. Nevertheless, please always reach out to us because we will always try to see if we can help in some way!

Alternatively, there are third-party companies who will provide warranties on the vehicle itself. But please do your research and make sure they are reputable and worth the coverage.

Summary:

  • WLDR stands by the build-out itself, including craftsmanship and materials used in the camper conversion – our warranty.
  • Manufacturer warranties cover the hardware and appliances themselves. Please review the included documents and send in warranty cards wherever applicable.
  • Used vehicles are sold ‘As Is’ by law with no explicit warranties. There are third-party providers, but please do your research to make sure they are highly rated.
